MATTHEW TARR With over a decade of professional experience developing for the Web, Matthew Tarr has designed and programmed everything from full blown multi-user, data-driven applications to educational simulation/games. Through the synthesis of content, design, usability and fun, Matthew Tarr's aim is to create web experiences that provide an experience, with a focus on effective and easy-to-use interfaces. Matthew Tarr will now stop referring to himself in the 3rd person. I graduated with a bachelors degree in Anthropology/Archaeology from the University of Central Florida in 1996, during which I split my time between a full course load, 40+ hour a week job (The Institute for Simulation and Training) and working in the Archaeology lab, applying computer based solutions to the age-old issues of Archaeology (databases, imaging, presentation). Having been accepted as one of the first 6 students in an inter-disciplinary, independent-study Master's program, I interrupted my graduate work to come to the American Museum of Natural History in February of 2000, when an opportunity opened up at The American Museum of Natural History's National Center for Science Literacy, Education and Technology. Practical expertise in all areas of Web development: HTML, XML, CFML, PHP, SQL, scripting, Flash, streaming media, QuickTimeVR, Windows and (lite) Linux system administration. > ***************************************************************** >>>> Qualifications <<<< > Coding: PHP, ColdFusion, Action Script, JavaScript, sql > > Design: not a trained graphic designer...
